Eilis Crean

Eilis Crean works primarily in drawing and painting. References to time—cyclical and paused, geological and momentary, lost and seized, contemplative and purchased–form undercurrents in much of her work -. Born in Ireland, she is now divides her studio time between Co. Mayo, Ireland, and the United States.

Crean’s American exhibitions include the Herron School of Art and Design, Indianapolis; the Redline Contemporary Art Center, Boulder, Colorado; the Conrad Wilde Gallery, Tucson; and the Association of Visual Artists, Chattanooga.

Internationally she has shown at Cesis International, Latvia, and in exhibitions throughout Ireland. Crean’s work can be seen in the State collections of Ireland, France and Latvia. Crean is Professor of Art at University of West Georgia.
