Jhon Sánchez

Jhon Sánchez is a native of Colombia, but obtained political asylum in the United States in 1998 and learned English at age 27.  He holds both a law degree and an MFA in creative writing. Sanchez is a contributor to Pressenza IPA. His work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and for the Best of the Net. His work has appeared in the New Lit Salon anthology and the Broome Memoir Project among other places. He was a writer fellow at the Edward Albee Foundation in 2014. He lives and writes in New York City where he also practices law.
