Matthew Webster’s plays and musicals have been seen in New York City, at regional theatres, and internationally in Europe.

During his 2019 residency, he read from his latest play, Jay and the Contest, which portrays Jay, a young woman who wins a nation wide essay contest. The prize? The opportunity to write the seventh and final book of a beloved series after the death of its high profile author. Not only does Jay face the pressures of completing an epic series, she must also face the challenges in her own life that currently stand in the way of her greatness.
